Celery N’ Greens Fruit Smoothie

Green Smoothie

The idea for this smoothie came about partly because I was trying to switch up my green smoothies and partly because I was trying to think of a way to use up the rest of the celery in my fridge without just eating it plain ๐Ÿ˜› Hey, whatever works right?!

It was smoothie day in the Alex household! Some days I love making smoothies for Sawyer and I for lunch. I am just so ecstatic that he loves smoothies so that I can just make ONE thing and we can both share it. So easy! And also sneaks in those pesky veggies like spinach!

Getting right to the point today…

How to make:

Green Smoothie

Celery N’ Greens Fruit Smoothie

-2 large stalks celery

-handful of spinach

-one banana

-1 Cup chopped pineapple

1/4 Cup yogurt

1/4 Cup pineapple juice (more if you need more liquid to smooth out the smoothie)

-handful of ice

 

Chop celery fairly small so that it is easier to blend up. Add everything to the blender. Blend well. To smoothen out even more so that you don’t have spinach chunks try adding a bit more ice and liquid and blending again for about a minute.

GREEN Spinach – Kale – Kiwi Smoothie

I’ve made all sorts or green smoothies and what better than a GREEN smoothie for St. Patrick’s Day!

So I’ve made a compilation of a few of my favorite green smoothies.

 

St. Patrick’s Day Green Smoothies

 

1) Oranges & Greens Smoothie

Oranges & Greens Smoothie

 

 

Use:

-2 Oranges
-2 Bananas
-Handful of spinach
-Carrot Juice
-Vanilla Greek yogurt
-Chia seeds
-Ice

Add all ingredients to the blender and blend well!

 

 

2) Strawberry – Kiwi Smoothie

Use:

-4 strawberries
-2 kiwis
-half banana
-handful of spinach
-3 small stalks kale
-1/4 Cup greek yogurt
-1/4 Cup carrot juice

Add ice to your blender. Add all of the ingredients and make sure to blend really well. Add more carrot juice or water if needed. The kiwi works so well in this smoothie and adds a good level of tartness. Could also add flaxseed ๐Ÿ™‚ย ย 

 

 

 

3) Super GREEN Smoothie

Use:

-2 Kiwis
-1/4 Cup pineapple chunks
-1 Banana
-Handful of spinach
-3 Small stalks kale
-1/2 Cup greek yogurt
-1 Spoonful of flaxseed
-1/4 Cup pineapple juice

 

Add ice along with all ingredients to your blender. Blend until very smooth. Add some water if itโ€™s too thick. Amazingly delicious green smoothie! Yes, it is very green, but don’t go by looks! It tastes fantastic!

 

 

 

 

4) Simple Green Smoothie

Simple Green Smoothie

Use:

-2 Kiwis
-1 Banana
-1/2 Cup Pineapple chunks
-Handful of spinach
-2 tsp Chia seeds
-Coconut water (as much as needed)

Add ice along with everything else to the blender and blend well! I made this one with my son but for his added his own Yobaby whole milk yogurt and didn’t add the chia seeds to his. He loved it and so did I!
